Whether you are coming to Halifax with your children or you are planning to study, or currently studying, in the city, there is important information you may want to have to make the process more valuable and to fully take advantage of available opportunities for you and yours.

Nova Scotia is also known as Canada’s education province, as it has amongst the most academic institutions per capita in Canada. Halifax is home to most of these institutions in the province, with a great variety of academic and trade programs for you to choose.

It is important to keep in mind that any person between the age of 5 and 21 is eligible to attend school in Nova Scotia for free. For children between the age of 5 and 16 are required to attend school, whether they choose public or private institutions. You may want to familiarize yourself with the school system in Nova Scotia if you have children or if you are thinking on having children.
